Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers rave about the quality of food at Snaith Chippy. The cod is particularly praised for its tender, white flaky flesh and perfectly crispy batter. Many highlight the golden, fluffy chips that accompany the fish, noting their excellent texture.

The deep-fried haggis is a quirky dish that many love, introducing a unique twist to the traditional chippy menu. The affordability of larger portion sizes and the overall value for money further contribute to customers' fondness for the place. Friendly service adds to the charm, making every visit a pleasant experience.

Most Disliked

Some customers have voiced concerns about the fluctuating quality of service—experiencing discrepancies during different ownership periods. While recent reviews reflect significant improvements, the initial post-reopening transition prompted mixed feelings among some returning patrons.

Additionally, during peak times, the hustle and bustle might lead to slightly longer wait periods. Some diners also mentioned that table availability could be limited during busy lunch hours, resulting in competition for seating amidst the casual atmosphere. Overall, while most experiences are positive, these minor drawbacks are worth noting.

Great little chippy, great value friendly staff & the food is perfectly cooked.......nice to find somewhere you can actually get a deep fried haggis !! Was great a few years agio before Covid, then a change of ownership & the quality & service both deteriorated, however there is now a new couple running the place & it's back to it's best

As a team of 3 came here today had 3 of their specials for £4.00 each. Everyone really enjoyed the food. In my experience the food was brilliant I likened it to what you get at a seaside town, the battered sausage was crunchy and well cooked. The chips were golden had a nice crunch but fluffy inside all the chips were cut very well also. The portion was just right I completed the whole meal, I don't feel bloated just full which is what you need. The service was good too. You can pay by card if you spend over £5 which is good. Service was great and the selection of drinks was also to be expected overall a great experience. Thank you

Been looking for a decent fish and chip shop for a while and boy have we found one. Top quality Cod and chips cooked the traditional way. If I could give you 10 ☆ I would as you deserve top marks. Well worth the 6+ mile journey from where we live. Totally enjoyed every mouthful. We will be back 😊👍
